Description: In this video I catch a few fish in salt water using a tenkara rod. I caught what I believe was a tiny mackerel (?) as well as some pudding wife wrasse. I have been wondering whether or not tenkara would be an effective method for saltwater for some time. While I found it somewhat difficult to use in the surf, I had much more success fishing around some of the jetties. nnI had much more success in the surf using a fly rod and reel.
