X-Men producer Simon Kinberg is also signed on to produce the project. Pharrell Williams developing coming-of-age musical with Halle Bailey and Da'Vine Joy Randolph set to star. The currently untitled Universal Pictures film will be directed by Michel Gondry and is based on a script written by Martin Hynes and Steven Levenson. Actor Kelvin Harrison Jr. will also star alongside Bailey and Randolph.
