Vassos starred as a contestant on the pilot season of The Golden Bachelor , quickly becoming a fan favorite before departing the show in the third week due to a family emergency. 61 year old Vassos had been married for 32 years before entering the world of reality TV, and decided two years after her husband's passing in 2021 that she was ready to put herself out there again. The series is set to debut this fall, airing Wednesday nights on ABC. Legally Blonde prequel series coming to Prime Video. The prequel series titled Elle was revealed to fans at Prime's first upfront presentation on Tuesday. The film's original star Reese Witherspoon took to the stage dressed in pink to make the announcement. The series will follow Elle Woods during her high school years, exploring the teenage experiences that shaped her into the iconic character fans see in the original two films. Witherspoon is set to executive produce the series along with her media company Hello Sunshine. Nobel Prize winner and short story writer Alice Munro dies at 92. The Canadian writer had a decades long career, entertaining readers from as early on as the 50's. She was honored with many awards throughout her career, including two Governor General's Awards for her 1968 collection Dance of the Happy Shades and 1978's Who Do You Think You Are? She also received the 2013 Nobel Prize in literature for her collection Dear Life . Munro died on May 13 following a 10 year long battle with dementia. Hallmark to host immersive Christmas experience featuring a variety film stars. The event will take place weekly from November 29 to December 23 outside the company's headquarters in Kansas City. The ticketed event will feature classic holiday activities such as ice skating and visits with Santa, but will also allow fans the opportunity to meet some of their favorite Hallmark stars and get behind-the-scenes insight into the world of Hallmark during the holidays. Tickets for the event go on sale May 16. CCTV shows smoke and sparks erupting from the Russian-made jet before Asim pulled up and appeared to be circling the runway in Chattogram, Bangladesh, on May 9.However, the footage shows a sudden explosion before Bangladesh Air Force pilot Asim and his co-pilot Wing Commander Sohan Hasan Khan both ejected.Local media reported that the two pilots both landed in the Karnaphuli River before being rescued by members of the air force, navy and local fishermen.Asim later died in hospital while Sohan remains in critical condition at the Banouja Isa Khan Hospital in Patenga. The aircraft was later recovered from the water.The government's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the training jet had 'crashed due to a mechanical failure'.They claimed the pilots manoeuvred the aircraft away from the densely populated area near the airport to the sparsely populated area where they crashed.However, CCTV footage of the incident appears to show the crash was caused by the high-risk stunt.A source said: 'The Bangladesh Air Force claimed the crashed YAK 130 fighter jet encountered mechanical failure, resulting in a catastrophic crash in the Patenga area of Chittagong. However, recently obtained CCTV footage from the runway area contradicts this claim by BAF, displaying a chilling sequence where the aircraft attempts to perform three consecutive aileron rolls at a perilously low altitude, nearly colliding with the runway in the process.'The footage reveals the jet scraping the runway at high speed, causing significant damage to the fuselage and igniting a fire. At the 19-second mark, a slowed-down analysis shows fragments of the aircraft detaching as it rebounds and gets airborne.'In the critical moments that followed, as captured in the video, the engine became engulfed in flames, emitting black smoke. The two pilots, demonstrating exceptional skill under pressure, managed to eject from the flaming jet. The ejection, a procedure known to exert enormous g-force on the body, often results in temporary loss of consciousness.'")
