Northern Ireland artist Danielle Morgan is turning her love of pottery into a career after receiving support to grow her business.<br/><br/>Based in Crumlin, Danielle is in her final year studying Ceramic Product Design at Belfast Met but is already well on her way to realising her dream of making a business from her passion having taken part in several exhibitions and completing numerous private commissions.<br/><br/>Alongside her studies and fledgling business, Danielle also works as a support worker for adults with mental health issues and learning disabilities, showcasing her commitment to both her craft and community.<br/><br/>“Art is my passion but it can be difficult thinking about how to get from an idea to making a business and producing something that someone would want to buy. Now, after working with Go Succeed, I have a clear plan and a proven avenue to market,” she said.<br/><br/>

Our choice of clothes helps to define how we think of ourselves and how we think of others.<br/>An outfit can suggest social status, political beliefs, a certain taste in music and even our mood on any given day - there’s always story<br/>behind the clothes we wear.<br/>It’s one of the reasons Harriet Eccleston, whose clothing brand goes by the same name, felt compelled to continue in a family tradition of tailors, drapers and milliners stretching back generations.<br/>“It’s quite a personal thing,” she said. “The garments that you wear are one of the first things that people see about you and I guess (they) interpret your characteristics or your personality through your choice of clothing and that has always interested me - the emotion, the personality that clothes can bring out.”<br/>Working out of her one room workshop in the Albyn Works, a former<br/>factory building in Sheffield’s Kelham Island, Harriet creates<br/>womenswear with sustainability and heritage at its core.<br/>From ideation and fabric cutting all the way through to hand stitching buttons and packaging items, Harriet’s head, heart and hands are behind it all.<br/>The finest British cottons and wools are taken and combined with a soft colour palette to create elegant garments with a classic versatility.<br/>Yet the reason Harriet’s creations stand out is beyond their aesthetic.<br/>Examine them more closely and you find storytelling and tradition woven into every piece.<br/>The influence of Harriet’s ancestry is evident throughout her business.<br/>“Fashion is in my blood, their stories are in my heart,” reads her website.<br/>Scattered amid the fabric swatches and sketches on the work surfaces and pin boards of her workshop are black and white photos of a moustachioed man immaculately turned out regardless of the scene he appears in.<br/>The man’s name is E.D. Soulsby and he’s Harriet’s great great<br/>Grandfather. <br/>In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Soulsby, owned and ran a menswear shop in the industrial heartlands of Northumbria.<br/>“It was in the family for generations - everybody mucked in and was part of it.<br/>“My granny spent a lot of time there until she was married and she told me a lot of stories. <br/>“They specialised in quality menswear clothing and the idea was they were pieces that would last.”

Furious locals say their gardens and driveways are collapsing after building work started on a new estate.<br/><br/>Dozens of residents in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts., were shocked when cracks appeared in their driveways.<br/><br/>Large chunks of people’s gardens in George Street also sank by up to 3ft amid fears of a major landslip.<br/><br/>The damage is believed to have been caused by powerful vibrations coming from diggers doing groundworks on a new housing development nearby.<br/><br/>Construction has been temporarily halted as investigations are carried out into the building work which developers blame on “heavy rain”.<br/><br/>Resident Susan Tighe, 81, says a large area of her lawn and driveway has sunk into the ground.<br/><br/>She said: “It was about two months ago it started, they’re just doing the groundwork at the moment. <br/><br/>“You can’t see anything and you can’t go on the site. We’re high up and the fields lower down. We think they’ve taken some of the soil away. <br/><br/>“We think it’s the vibration of the machinery that’s caused the problems. <br/><br/>“The vibration of the machinery has shaken the earth around the garden. <br/><br/>“I could just see a crack in the ground. It wouldn’t stop.<br/><br/>“It’s a civil engineering job. If they don’t do anything about it, it’ll fall in the field.” <br/><br/>Linda Jackson, 74, who lives on the street with her husband Richard, 76, said: “Our concern is because they’ve dug away the bank and left a 15ft drop from <br/>our garden, we’re concerned that the same thing will happen to us and our lawn will fall away. <br/><br/>“Apparently they’re going to build a retaining wall but no one has been here to communicate that with us. We just pick bits up here and there. <br/><br/>“Our garden could slip away. It’s a significant drop. When I walked down there I couldn't believe it. <br/><br/>“We were overlooking the field but now we’re overlooking a building site. <br/><br/>“We don't have a right to a view, but we have a right to know what’s going on. <br/><br/>“What I would particularly like is some assurance as to what’s happening. <br/><br/>“We’ve been living here since they were built 50 years ago and nothing like this has ever happened before.<br/><br/>“Most of the people around here are retired. We’ve had our garden landscaped, so if it disappeared into the field it would be very upsetting. <br/><br/>“We’ve had a lot of rain but that hasn’t caused the issue before. <br/><br/>“The noise and the dust is incredible. <br/><br/>“I can’t put white sheets outside because the air is full of dust. A 5ft 10ins woman who towers over her short husband says trolls say he looks like her son but they couldn’t be more in love.<br/><br/>Cassandra Gaspard, 29, and her partner, Westin, 32, are constantly stared at due to their height difference.<br/><br/>Cassandra is five inches taller than Westin - who is 5ft 5ins - and is asked why she is with her husband by strangers.<br/><br/>But the couple couldn’t be happier, after tying the knot last month, and have never seen their height difference as a problem.<br/><br/>Westin, a technical account manager, from New York City, US, said: “In real life people don’t come up to me. They come up to my wife.<br/><br/>“They said ‘how can you be with him? He’s so short.'<br/><br/>“People stare at us – it happens a lot.<br/><br/>“Trolls say I look like her handbag or I’m her son. They are trying to be funny.”<br/><br/>Cassandra, who works in customer care, said: “It’s a little odd that people look at height difference and think we don’t deserve to be in a relationship.<br/><br/>“It’s not the norm – society thinks 6ft men need to be with shorter men.<br/><br/>“You love who you love.”<br/><br/>Casandra had embraced her height by the time she met Westin on Tinder in 2017 – and even wore five inch heels on their first date.<br/><br/>She said: “I grew up taller than everybody. I was the odd ball out.<br/><br/>“I accepted in my 20s that I couldn’t change.<br/><br/>“Now I’m mostly in heels.”<br/><br/>Westin had never had any issues with his height or dating girls taller than him.<br/><br/>He said: “My height is what it is. I can’t stretch myself.<br/><br/>“I always carried myself in a confident way.<br/><br/>“When I met my wife I said ‘you’re tall and there is nothing you can do about it. And I’m small and there is nothing I can do about it’.<br/><br/>“We never cared about it.<br/><br/>“It’s a blessing. If something is up on a shelf and I can’t get it. Guess who I’m calling? My wife.”<br/><br/>Despite their confidence, the couple did have to adjust to the constant stares and comments.<br/><br/>Cassandra said: “I remember the very first time someone said something.<br/><br/>“These two or three older men were looking at us.<br/><br/>“They said ‘she’s really tall, he’s really short – I can’t believe it’.”<br/><br/>Westin says he also gets comments asking if he has 'short man syndrome'.<br/><br/>He said: “Someone said 'I hope he doesn’t have a temper'.<br/><br/>“Short men get a bad rep and they think I have short man syndrome.<br/><br/>“People could be missing out on a life partner because of all these preconceived notions.<br/><br/>“It’s silly stuff like women can’t be with a man shorter than her. They want someone to look up to and protect them.<br/><br/>“I’m a boxer – I can protect my wife.<br/><br/>“It doesn’t have anything to do with my height.”<br/><br/>Cassandra added: “There are tall women married to short men.<br/><br/>“It’s not like OMG I just found a rare coin.”<br/><br/>Westin said: “Love is love no matter what.”
